Weekly Wishes: 2

The Nectar Collective

Let’s start this monday with a recap of last weeks goals and how they went!

My first goal last week was to drink more water! I did ok with this one. I definitely drank more water, but I don’t think I got up to 10 glasses a day yet. I know what I really NEED to do is cut out soda, but I’m not there yet. I have a big water bottle that I have been filling up and drinking throughout the day so I’m going to keep that up!

My second goal was to workout 3 times. We were having some issues with our YMCA membership, but all of that got resolved which you can read about here. The first day I was available to go back was thursday. I went to the Les Mills cx worx class which is an awesome core workout! That was my only workout last week so I didn’t quite accomplish this goal. It felt good to at least get there once though.

My last goal last week was to cook something in the crock pot.

I did it! I made baked potato soup monday night and it lasted us all week. I had to work three nights and nick was able to have that for dinner and I was able to have it for lunch a couple days. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but that soup was so stinkin’ good. Obviously good enough to eat several days throughout the week.

Now for this week!

1. Workout at least three times this week. I want to add this to the list again since I didn’t accomplish it at all last week. Now that I can take Emmerson into the childcare I want to make going to the Y part of our morning routine.

^This is why I need to workout so hard.^

2. Finish reading my leadership book for work. We have a leadership retreat this weekend for work and I have a lot of preparing to do. I need to finish the book with enough time left to prepare notes and not feel rushed. I usually wait until the last minute for things like this so I would really like to get ahead of the game.

3. Not to spend unnecessary money! This is a tough one for me. I don’t spend excessively and I don’t spend money that we don’t have, but we need to save more and get ready for Christmas. One way I know I can help this goal is not doing my grocery shopping at Target. Somehow I always find so many things I “need” when i go there and that’s no good. So I’m going to spend as little as possible this week and save that dough!

If y’all have good budget ideas let me know. We have tried a few, but not stuck to them very well. Have a happy monday folks!

  1. Hey! I found your blog through Weekly Wishes!

Your last weeks goals sound like something I should definitely add as goals soon as well. I never drink enough water and it shows. sometimes I can’t even manage to drink one glass a day! And working out has become something I pass out on too easily each and every week. But I do have to say that I love CX Worx class as well and it’s one of my favourite classes to go to at my gym! Probably the only weekly class I don’t want to miss out on!

I have that same sort of goal of limiting my spending, so good luck to us both 🙂 and good luck with the rest of your wishes as well 🙂

  2. I have a fantastic budget idea! I highly recommend Financial Peace University! And not just because my husband is an awesome coordinator!
These are great goals – keep it up! I need to get back to drinking more water. It’s been hard to fit running into my schedule lately, but I think I’m heading out Saturday morning with my running buddy – yay!

    • Yay for running! I haven’t run in awhile, but it has definitely paid off for you, you look great! We did Financial Peace University like 3 years ago. We really need to get all of our materials back out now that we are at a different stage of life.

    • The book for work is Next Generation Leader by Andy Stanley. I read it a few years ago, but I am reading it again. It’s an easy read, but great information! I HAD to go to Target last night and I stayed strong!!
