Pumpkins on Pumpkins on Pumpkins

So as I mentioned in my last post we had such a fun weekend. Where I left you last was friday night preparing for an awesome brunch on saturday.

Saturday morning I got up and finished cleaning and setting up everything for brunch. I got these flowers and another bunch from Trader Joe’s and they are beautiful! They still look amazing half a week later.

So the morning consisted of pretty good food (if I do say so myself) which I completely forgot to take pictures of. After that we got started on our awesome pumpkin carving! Here are plenty of pictures courtesy of Rocky and his amazing skills.

^This was Nick’s pumpkin. He got a little crazy with the drill while making his “scary” jack-o-lantern.^

^Meg’s classic pumpkin. He was supposed to have more teeth, but they got chopped off, poor guy.^

^Ranger and I had a photo shoot while we were waiting for others to finish. He loves me.^

^The pumpkins were all set up for their modeling debut, but Nick kept having to do touch ups.^

^Still waiting on Steph and Nick to finish so I started raking. Plus I was about to freeze to death so I needed to get my blood pumping. (yes 55 degrees is freezing in NC)^

^Steph’s masterpiece owl, my goofy guy, Nick’s “scary” drill man, and Meg’s classic jack-o-lantern. Now you can see why we had to wait on Steph so long. She is so artistic and talented and it was very evident in her carving.^

^We obviously had to get pictures made with our pumpkins, from multiple cameras/phones.^

^I’m so happy about my mums! I thought they were dead a couple days ago, but I put a cup of water in there and the next day they perked back up. I guess they were thirsty.^

^Nick was worn out after a day of carving.^

Emmerson was at the house with us, but she was a perfect baby and took like a 3 hour nap while we carved pumpkins. It was like she knew or something. We had so much fun just being together and celebrating fall and I’m feeling like this could be a tradition! After our big morning we went to H&M to shop a little and then came home to relax for the rest of the night. We had Thai takeout for dinner and just enjoyed our last moments with Rocky before he headed back to Charlotte. Busy weekends are my favorite and I’m sure I’ll have plenty of them going into this time of holidays!

I hope that everyone has a happy wednesday!

P.S. Do y’all have any good recipes for pumpkin seeds? I tried one, but I didn’t think it was very good.
